Hey family! just wanted to update you on the last week and a half! so we are now in the year of 2010!!!! wow can you believe that we are in another year already and to think that i have this month all planned out and its almost over for me! Well the last couple of days have been definitely eventful. Starting off with New Years Eve, my roommates and I decided that we needed to throw a dance party for the new year, which consisted of lots of food and junk food. The beginning of the party was pretty lame, people were self consious about dancing with the lights on... but let me tell you, dim the lights and theres a whole new person that comes out!
Once the lights were off there was twisting, bending, snapping and rolling all up in this biz! it was crazy fun and you know that we had to put on my favorite song "tootsie roll" oh ya let me see your tootsie roll! lets just say it was a crowd favorite. As time went on and the new year approached i had a thought. "who am i going to kiss this year?" hmmmm that was hard since there is definitely a limited selection up here between my friends. so who ended up being the winner you wonder? Well it happened to be a guy that i dont really know very well but he comes around sometimes. his name is Jordan and he was the lucky one this new years eve. i just went right up to him and grabbed his face between my hands and planted a big one on him. it was pretty funny he was surprised at first, but you have to know Jordan, he always rolls with the punches so it ended up being pretty fun!
January was filled with lots of trips down to SLC, movie nights with Cody May and of course our favorite thing to eat on out nights out is Domino's Pizza. We order the classic Pepperoni and Jalapeno with extra cheese! oh yes! its the best, add a fast trip to McyDees, "i'll have a large Mr Pib and a large sprite" and of course we have to hit up RedBox for the latest violent crime and guts movie that Mayo can find and then we are home enjoying the night with great company and the best fast food ever for a bargain price of 10.00 for the whole thing. Yes ladies date night has a hole new meaning when you can experience this! HAHAHHA
Another fun thing that i did this month was hang out with my roommate Lindsay and her boyfriend Andrew and their friend Marshal, we went four wheeling back in Hide Park, then we went up to this abandoned Mine, and went caving! it was awesome, you had to army crawl through a space that was just big enough for you to fit through, but once you got through it opened up to tunnels of old mine tracks and caves. pretty creepy but way fun! i cant wait to go again this summer!
February snuck up on me this year, and it was a hard month for me and my family. With the passing of my aunt Gini this year we all grew closer and reflected upon the true meaning of life and what the Lord has in store for us. She passed away on February 6th 2010, and the funeral was Thursday February 11,2010. It was a beautiful service with our family. Cory my cousin sang "Bridge over troubled water" which was my aunts favorite song, everything was so nice and i know that my aunt would have been pleased.
Valentines day was great this year! I got socks and a pink rose from Marianne and I also got a beautiful arrangement from my father of course. My father has been the only man to ever give me flowers of V-day for my entire life! he is always one that i can count on to always be there, to never lie to me and to always love me no matter what. But this year he wasnt the only one! Cody May had it in his mind this year that he was going to be the other man to give me flowers this year. it was so sweet he gave me a beautiful bouquet of Daisy's! because Daisy's are my favorite flower, and with that i got truffles! oh how does a girl get so lucky??
I also had the chance to go to the cabin again this month with my family and Marianne came too, we went snow mo billing and we built a huge snowman and just hung out and relaxed! IT WAS A GREAT GETAWAY WEEKEND! soon after i got home from that i ventured south to Las Vegas to see Haylie and the family, that was a great weekend too, ive missed Chelsea and the Kids and buggy most of all. it was great to see her and to see how much she is growing. And the weather was great! it was so nice to have warm weather in the midst's of all this Cold! when i got back from Vegas life had different plans for me and through me for a loop!
