HOLLY RUSTED METAL BATMAN! ITS BEEN A YEAR!!!!!

Well as we all know im terrible at blogging! So here is my feeble attempt to recap the year and hopefully be able to keep up with my posts at least weekly!!!!

To start off the recaping the summer...,

Mom and Dad took me to St. George for the weekend to see Aladin at the Tuacon Theatre! It was soo good. My friend Samuel played Aladin and he did so good! It was really fun to go and support him. We also went and hiked the Narrows at Zions National Park!

I couldnt believe how far we went and by the end of the day I was totally exhausted and had blisters on my feet but the canyon was so beautiful and breathtaking! I loved crossing the river and hiking through the canyon. We ran into a couple that had backpacked from the very top down and slept over night, the total hike for that is about 16 miles! I want to do that one day too!
The weekend was so fun! We also went and did a session at the St. George Temple together too! I just love going to the Temple and doing work! I also just love it when im with my parents and being able to just spend quality bonding time with them. Its so nice!
Summer days in Logan are always filled with camping, bonfires, and
late nights with friends. I've loved living in Logan and this past year has been one that needs to be marked in the books! Ive been doing the Medical Assisting Program, Medical Office and also Phlebotomy classes at Bridgerland Applied Technology College. Which has taken up a lot of my social time with studying and classes full time. School was hard but in the end such a blessing to me in my life!

Graduation Day!

Wahoo!!! I finally DID IT!!!!!

I also bought a horse this year!!!

YES I DID! And why do you ask? Well because I have always loved horses ever since I was little and now finally my dream has come true! Her name is Kenya, and she is a Quarter Hourse Dun Mare. She is 13 years old and I love her to pieces! When I first got Kenya I had a hard time getting into the groove of actually having a horse. I was very intimidated by her size and just having her! She is the dominant mare out of her herd and with that she tests me everyday. But there are so many things that I learn from her about myself that this experience has been a life changing for me. I have been pushed and stretched to the limit with her, but in the end I wouldnt trade it for anything. There was a point in time when I didnt even ride her because she was "too much horse" I was emotional all the time and even debated about selling her. But the Lord had other plans for me and her and that was that we both needed to learn to trust and grow with each other. I finally started to be able to work with her and eventually I was able to start riding her! That felt like a milestone accomplishemt for me. I also got a wonderful trainer who just happened to be an old co-worker/counselors's son! Andrew Snarr! So funny that we havent seen each other in years and of all places he lives in Logan and works and trains horses. So I decided to hire him and little by little through training and riding lessons with Andrew Kenya and I developed a great relationship and I was able to overcome a lot of my fears and insecurities. Not to say I still dont have them, but my horse and I have a wonderful bond and I am and will forever be in debt to him and all the hard work that he has put into me and her.
Having a horse has been a huge responsability in my life. I feed her twice a day everyday. I never knew how much effort it takes to maintain a horse! Between feeding and cleaning her stall, ridding and getting her vaccinated and just making sure shes a happy horse its a full time job!!!
First time ridding Kenya after about 2 months of not being able to ride her

Just Goofin Off after a long day

Kenya kicked through her stall one day and scraped her legs all up! It was a really scary night and she was really hurt. It took almost a year for her hair to grow all the way back and for her not to be so stiff that she couldnt hardly walk.
